LFC: The Good, The Bad and, The Ugly Weekly Update #4

Second signing brings more hunger, suddenly the squad is looking younger. Instead of being in a transfer impasse, the Reds would rather walk away. A recent survey’s results are quoted as truth, but with so few asked, it’s frankly uncouth! The Good, The Bad and The Ugly another week reviewed at Liverpool FC.

The Good

Liverpool signing Dominik Szoboszlai after triggering his release clause, which was reported to be in the region of £60m. The 22 year-old Hungarian joins Liverpool from RB Leipzig, winners of the DFB Pokal, which is the German equivalent of the FA Cup.

The Bad

Walking away from the Main Mount deal. LFC are playing smart. After pulling out of the race to sign Jude Bellingham, Liverpool dodged another bullet in refusing to be drawn into a bidding war for the Chelsea midfielder. Instead it was left to the noisy neighbours to bid against… themselves, when their fourth bid was finally accepted by the west London club.

The Ugly

A fans’ survey from 8,000 says it all… and nothing at the same time.

A survey of approximately 8000 LFC fans found that 53% (or around 4300) that they didn’t trust FSG to back Klopp sufficiently in the transfer market to get the players he needs. A massive 76% (or around 6000) felt that Liverpool needed to sign between four and seven players.

Considering Liverpool has at least 5m fans amount the top 10 supporting LFC supporting countries in the world, 8000 represents a whopping 0.0016%, I’m not sure this survey is worth much at all.more exaggerated, sensationalist so-called journalism by the the Reds’ local newspaper…
